Change to the Homepage

Yes, unless you are completely new to the site, you may have noticed that this isn't the old homepage for the FOSSILS.  We are currently experimenting with changing the format of the site.  I believe that all of the old homepage's site is contained within this blog or has a link to it.  This is a work in progress so let me know if you see something missing or would like to add something.

You can reach the old site from: www.fossils.org/index2.html

Pages will redirect you to this site, not the index page (at this time), so be forewarned!

Thanks!

Riley ridge 3rd annual brew-in

From Becky Riley:

Riley Ridge 3rd Annual Brew-in will be held Oct. 17th.

For persons wanting to set up equipment and brew on site please, let Becky Riley know as soon as possible.

Free base malt will be provided to the first brewers to respond. Set-up will begin at 9am. A kit class will be taught from 10 am to 12 noon. Food will be available. Donations for food accepted. Come and have a great time whether you brew or not!.

Becky mentioned at last Saturday's meeting that she is looking for an estimate of what everyone needs for base malt (she will have 2-row, but needs to estimate how much) and if you need specialty grains, adjuncts, or yeast, to share your recipe with her and she can help make sure that what you need is there. The base malt is free, you'll have to pay for what ever else you need. This is a really great event. There was even mention of a bonfire later that evening....
